Stewart Wilson & Associates was founded in 1989 as an executive search consultancy specialising in General Management, Finance and IT appointments. It now accounts for three consultants. Its services are tailored to the specific requirements of the client, with search assignments based upon first class research into companies and candidates and a network of senior executive contacts in relevant sectors.
The firm's core business focuses on companies in the multi-media, E-commerce, industrial, professional services, retail and property sectors and on leadership roles in general management, finance, IT, logistics and operations.

Stewart Wilson worked for 15 years in finance and industry in the UK, US and Europe in international packaging, retail, manufacturing and consumer goods companies. He has worked in executive search since 1986, and established Stewart Wilson & Associates in 1989. An Oxford graduate, he holds an MBA from Stanford Business School in Finance and Marketing, and speaks fluent French. He is also a former Scottish rugby International and British Lion.

Michael Marchant graduated from the University of East Anglia with an honors degree in European Studies and German. Following four years in industry, he spent 13 years in international management consultancy working in more than 20 countries on marketing and business strategy assignments across a broad spectrum of industry sectors. He moved into the City of London as Marketing Director of two Financial Services companies before entering executive search in early 1996. He speaks fluent German.

Ian Chate, A Bristol law graduate and a qualified Solicitor, he spent the early years of his professional career in private practice with Linklaters & Paines in London and Stephen Jaques & Stephen in Sydney. From there he moved in house and gained considerable experience of the energy industry in the General Counsel role for three multinationals and of the logistics business as Group Legal Advisor and Company Secretary for one of the largest players in that industry.
For many years he served on the main committee of the Law Society‘s Commerce and Industry Group and he has a wide network of legal contacts both in industry and private practice.
Ian now brings this expertise and the insights gained from a long and successful career in the law to the field of Executive Search.
